The highly anticipated Kendrick response diss was released today. No leaks. Extended cut. Official distribution.
Both Kendrick and Drake have released their disses on official platforms.
Is this the WWE or what?
Is this a clout takedown? Are they just integrating themselves into Drake's algorithm? Knocking the mario coins out this nigga? Fattening up those streaming checks at the expense of jumping the dude everybody secretly despised anyway??
Kendrick was talking about fatherhood, it sounds like he has something to live for. And he needs a good income 18 years from now. Multiple albums otw 2025?
My prediction?
I'm calling it good music. If it reaches a 3rd round(currently ending the 1st?) Drizzy will then drop a #1 song. Kendrick will have to use all his ammo to avoid damage to his own legacy. Most of the participants will retire. We might get new characters introduced to continue the storyline but otherwise.......No Drake Shakes
It's been like a month since "Not Like Us".
The memes have slowed but they haven't stopped.
Drake's aura is slowly fading.
The world is running out of water.......
no response.
We await a savior.......logging out.....
UPDATE: Round 2 has ended.
Declared by some as the greatest event in hip-hop history, Kendrick Lamar unexpectedly dropped a #1 song on Drake.
The weeks following the diss have been too much for anyone to truly assess, including those at the center. The smoke hasn't cleared, as no accusations have been proven on either side. We're all in the dark so with many people saying the entire battle is over, I think its fair to to call an end to round 2 after a week or so of no new music.
Without being able to asses the claims of these songs even after a wait. We unfortunately have to go purely on musical ability and creativity.
Kendrick Lamar - 7/15
6:16 in LA (weak) 2/5
Meet the Grahams (strong) 1/5
Not Like Us (strong) 4/5
Drake - 8/10

Totals
Am I clearly biased?
Am I wrong in my comparative grading of the disses released?
I encourage anyone to go back and see which tracks are actually even listenable without the incentive of pressing beef. We definitely got hits from both sides though.
At this point we're just waiting for the Drake album drop to start round 3. Then Kendrick will have his ultimate and final moment. This is the final round. Honestly if Kendrick gets 2 more mustard beats he will have at least one 5/5 song. Can he go album for album? I think at this point he's almost definitely going to outsell Drake when he drops next. He will also win the critical battle, but musically, honestly, to the ears of their peers Kendrick will have an almost impossible task.
Shout out to these dudes for letting themselves get ripped to shreds for our entertainment. They'll have to live with these things 20 years from now. It's like they really just "murdered" each other lol. We have witnessed real art and warfare.
oh and Kendrick won round 1
Apparently you can't be a Jew and a nigga anymore......interesting sentiments from the Rap Avengers....
Is this a reverse psychology Illuminati ritual to get black people to deny Jesus and pledge allegiance to the New World Order? Or are we rebelliously freeing ourselves from the "masters" of our industry, as more artists gain "independence," and opening the doors for an African-American Messiah?
I guess we will find out in the next generation. Or once Kanye hops back off his meds.
